So, the word on the street is that Publix is changing thier coupon policy. Currently, I am able to save 70-100% using the wonderful policy they have in place now and am NOT looking forward to a change. Right now, they accept competitor coupons (Winn Dixie, Sweetbay, Save-A-Lot, Albertson's, Whole Foods, Target, BJs, and some even take Walgreens and CVS, etc.) They also allow overage of any amount and take multiple $5 or $10 off of $25 or $30 coupons in one single transaction. With their generous coupon policy, there have been many times where I have walked out of Publix with over $200 worth of groceries and not paid a single dime! But, all that may change.
Keep your ears and eyes open for your local Publix to post their new coupon policy. Here are some changes that are buzzing around.....
1. Only competitor coupons for stores that are within 5 miles
2. They may stop accepting Target coupons....AHHHHH!!!
3. Maybe limit the BOGO deals to 5 per person (trying to limit the stockpiling)
4. Not accepting CVS and Walgreens (my store never did this anyway)
5. NO MORE OVERAGE!! I'd like to see how they catch this.
Remember, this is just the buzz, continue to check with your local Publix for the real coupon policy, which should be out within the next couple of weeks.
